What you should know:

1. The health plan limits members to Beaumont’s eight hospitals and 145 outpatient sites. The plan also offers access to Beaumont’s network of 5,000 affiliated physicians and its 30 planned urgent care sites.

2. Members will be able to save up to 15 percent through the plan because of its narrow network.

3. UnitedHealth designed the plan for Michigan employers looking to offer employees a cost-conscious health plan.

Beaumont CEO John Fox said: “Beaumont has a history of working with UnitedHealthcare. We look forward to making the Beaumont Network of physicians and facilities available as part of this new option for local employers and employees.”
