Anthem expected to add several thousand jobs to Atlanta market: 3 things to know

Anthem is expected to announce plans to open a technology center in Midtown Atlanta which would add several thousand jobs to the Atlanta area, the Atlanta Business Chronicle reports.

Here’s what you should know.

1. Anthem would be building an IT center similar to that of Kaiser Permanente’s $20 million tech center in Atlanta.

2. The center would provide multiple services including: IT services focused on EHR systems, cybersecurity, mobile, consumer technologies and infrastructure.

3. Its expected that Anthem will build the center in the city’s Bank of America Plaza on a short-term lease.
