AMA House of Delegates Seeks Further Delay of ICD-10 Implementation

As the firm Oct. 1, 2014 implementation deadline for ICD-10 approaches, the American Medical Association House of Delegates continues to express concern, according to a Family Practice News report.

The AMA estimates the cost ICD-10 implementation will cost physician practices between $83,290 and $2.7 million, depending on the practice size.

In June, the AMA House of Delegates began to lobby for a two-year delay of ICD-10 implementation.
