66% of Providers Plan to Expand Outsourced Coding Contracts

Two-thirds of providers plan to keep or expand their outsourced coding contracts, according to the KLAS report Outsourced Coding 2014: Do You Have Enough Resources for the ICD-10 Transition?

Outsourced coding is becoming an increasingly popular option for healthcare providers, according to the report. Providers are working to build stronger relationships with their existing outsourced coding firms, while others are seeking offshore options for outsourced coding.
