62% of physicians want another ICD-10 delay

Though a further delay of the ICD-10 transition seems unlikely, many physicians are still holding out hope. A study conducted by QuantiaMD has found 62 percent of physicians believe there should be another ICD-10 delay, according to a Healthcare Informatics report.

Of those physicians calling for another delay, 53 percent think that the delay should be indefinite. Here are five statistics to know from the survey.

•    68.51 percent of physicians believe they are on track for the Oct. 1 deadline
•    31.49 percent of physicians do not think they are on track for the deadline
•    28.07 percent of physicians who want a delay believe one year would be sufficient
•    25.44 percent of physicians who want a delay believe two years would be sufficient
•    46.49 percent of physicians who want a delay believe an indefinite delay is in order
