5 things to know about The Business Coalition’s health insurance exchange

The Business Coalition launched a private health insurance exchange, according to The Morning Call.

Here are five notes:

1. The exchange will serve its 285,000 members.

2. The Business Coalition will use bswift, a Chicago-based employee benefits provider, to enroll clients.

3. The coalition will use Niagara Benefits Consulting, a subsidiary of First Niagara Bank, for administrative support and implementation.

4. Insurance plans for employees were chosen through an array of health insurance carriers providing health exchanges under the 2010 Affordable Care Act.

5. Financial terms have not yet been disclosed.
