1. As of October 2016, nearly 68 million people enrolled into Medicaid and five million into CHIP.
2. From September to October 2016, 45,279 people enrolled into one of the two programs.
3. The utilization rate between the programs skews towards children as 51 percent of those enrolled were children. Only 49 percent of the enrollees were adults.
