The nation-wide average of physician pay satisfaction is 3.59, according to a new report from recently launched salary transparency platform Marit Health.

Marit Health ranked pay satisfaction on a 5-point scale, with 1 representing very dissatisfied with pay and 5 representing very satisfied with pay.

Here are 10 states with the highest pay satisfaction:

1. Nebraska: 4.13

Average total compensation: $422,000

2. Nevada: 3.95

Average total compensation: $412,000

3. Arkansas: 3.9

Average total compensation: $435,000

4. Indiana: 3.9

Average total compensation: $429,000

4. Mississippi: 3.85

Average total compensation: $435,000

5. Iowa: 3.85

Average total compensation: $423,000

6. Utah: 3.84

Average total compensation: $413,000

7. Kentucky: 3.83

Average total compensation: $413,000

8. Maine: 3.82

Average total compensation: $379,000

9. Oregon: 3.77

Average total compensation: $431,000

10. Minnesota: 3.71

Average total compensation: $428,000
