The Air Force has ambulatory medical treatment facilities located primarily in the United States, Korea, Japan, Germany, Italy and the Azores.
The AAAHC contract with USAF has been effective since 2006.
“We are pleased by the confidence the Air Force has placed in the Accreditation Association to help it provide patients with high quality ambulatory treatment,” said John Burke, PhD, executive vice president and CEO of AAAHC, according to a news release. “We welcome this opportunity to continue our work with the Air Force in implementing an accreditation plan that assures it is meeting or exceeding national standards for quality outpatient health care.”
