Two Surgery Centers of Wisconsin’s St. Mary’s Dean Ventures Receive Joint Commission Accreditation

St. Mary’s Dean Ventures, based in Madison, Wis., has announced two if its ambulatory surgery centers have been awarded accreditation by The Joint Commission.

The Davis Duehr Dean Surgery Center in Dean (Wis.) and the Surgery and Care Center/Digestive Health Center in Madison both received The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval after successfully meeting the accreditor’s national standards for health care quality and safety in ambulatory care organizations following unannounced on-site surveys in Nov. 2010, according to a news release from the health system.

 

“Organizations that strive for accreditation in ambulatory care from The Joint Commission are demonstrating the highest commitment to quality and safety to their patients, staff and their community,” said Michael Kulczycki, executive director, Ambulatory Care Accreditation Program, The Joint Commission, in the news release. “I commend the SMDV Ambulatory Surgery Centers for successfully achieving this pinnacle and for its dedication to continually improving patient care.”
