Kim Baliko, clinical director of the facility, said she was proud to announce the new development.

“We believe our patients deserve the best,” Ms.  Baliko said. “When you see our certificate of accreditation in the lobby, you will know that AAAHC, an independent, not-for-profit organization, has closely examined our facility and procedures. It means that we as an organization care enough about our patients to strive for the highest care possible.”

The Surgery Center of Genesee County opened in February 1998 with by 10 surgeons. The group has grown to more than 90 physicians performing surgery in five operating rooms throughout the Flint, Mich., area.
