The Joint Commission accredits Vold Vision's surgery center — 3 insights

Fayetteville, Ark.-based Vold Vision's surgery center received The Joint Commission's Gold Seal of Approval for Ambulatory Health Care, local news affiliate KNWA reports.

What you should know:

1. This is the sixth consecutive year The Joint Commission has accredited Vold Vision.

2. The Joint Commission surveyors evaluated the surgery center's quality efforts.

3. The seal denotes Vold Vision's commitment to safe and effective patient care.

"We are extremely proud of this earned recognition from The Joint Commission, and we hope our patients undergoing eye surgery take great comfort in the fact that they are receiving the safest and best care possible when they are at our facility," said Vold Vision CMO Steven Vold, MD.
