Texas’ Angelina County and Cities Health District to Coordinate MRSA Pilot

Angelina County and Cities Health District in Texas will spearhead a pilot program that aims to give providers a better idea of the demographics of individuals who are diagnosed with MRSA, according to a Lufkin Daily News report.

Under the pilot program, all participating physicians and hospitals are required to report laboratory confirmations of MRSA infection. The health district will collect and report those infection cases, according to the news report.

The pilot program is scheduled to run through March.
