The accreditation is designed to provide patients with quality and safety assurance in equipment, operating room safety and surgeon credentials for the outpatient surgery experience.

As part of the AAAASF accreditation, SpineCenterAtlanta must comply with all germane state, federal and local regulations, adhere to federal laws regarding business operation, use advanced equipment and monitoring devices during surgery and recovery and provide for anesthesia administration by a board-certified or board-eligible anesthesiologist or certified nurse anesthetist, according to a news release.
