The company underwent a rigorous, unannounced on-site survey in December 2014 where the Joint Commission evaluated compliance with ambulatory care standards. The surveyors examined care coordination, monitoring for procedures involving infection prevention and control, medication management, patient education and training.

Specialists On Call provides physician consultations via telemedicine to more than 300 hospitals nationwide. They were the first telemedicine organization to receive this certification back in 2006 and continued to maintain it every year since.
