NFTS to Expand In-Service Training Program for Respiratory Infection Preventions

National Fit Testing Services has expanded its in-service training program to help first responders and other affected healthcare workers meet OSHA respiratory protection standards, according to an OSHA news release.

OSHA regulations require annual “fit testing” of all employees who are required to wear a respirator while on the job. NFTS has created a team of specialists that will travel throughout the country to conduct comprehensive training programs and ensure OSHA compliance. OSHA mandates that several protocols be followed in healthcare facilities when exposure to air borne diseases is possible, including a written respiratory protection program and annual fit testing and training.
