Here are three quick facts:
1. Northpointe Surgical Suites celebrated its two-year anniversary the day it earned the distinction. The physician-owned ASC has a 22-member team.
2. The Joint Commission evaluated the ASC’s orthopedic consultation, as well as preoperative, intraoperative and postsurgical orthopedic surgeon follow-up care, during an onsite review June 5 and June 6.
3. The advanced certification lasts for a two-year period.
“We are the second ASC in Ohio and among the first ASCs in the nation to be awarded the advanced certification,” said Northpointe Surgical Suites Business Administrator Megan Schreiber. “We look forward to continuously raising the bar on improved patient safety and quality of care for patients undergoing outpatient total hip or total knee replacement surgery.”
