To earn the certification, the ASC underwent an on-site survey Oct. 23 and 24. The Joint Commission surveyors evaluated the center’s pre-surgical consultation, admission, follow-up visits and physical therapy processes.

The Columbus Orthopaedic Outpatient Center is one of six facilities in the U.S. to earn the certification.
