Metropolitan Gastroenterology receives accreditation: 5 key notes

Metropolitan Gastroenterology in Astoria, N.Y., received accreditation from American Association for Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgery Facilities.

Here are five things to know about Metropolitan Gastroenterology:

1. The practice includes upper endoscopy, colonoscopy, small bowel capsule endoscopy and gastroesophageal reflux treatment.

2. The center includes three physicians: Nicholas Roditis, MD, Barry Obadiah, MD, and Sabino Augello, MD.

3. Board-certified anesthesiologists provide sedation at the center.

4. The physicians at the practice speak several languages including English, Greek, Spanish and Italian.

5. Dr. Roditis is the chief of gastroenterology at Mount Sinai Hospital of Queens.
