Joint Commission turns 40

The Joint Commission is turning 40 years old in 2015, and much has changed since the organization began.

The organization was founded as the Accreditation Council for Ambulatory Health Care, with its founding meeting occurring on May 9, 1975. Executive Director Michael Kulczycki released a kick-off message to celebrate the organization’s history.
