This standard states the organization performs quality control checks for waived testing on each procedure. This standard is applicable to ambulatory care providers, hospitals and office-based surgery providers.

The revision to an element of performance under this standard now states healthcare providers are no longer required to perform quality control checks every day on instruments used for patient testing. To view this and other revisions in full, click here.
