Saginaw, Mich.-based Mackinaw Surgery Center is accredited by the Healthcare Facilities Accreditation Program.

Here are five facts:

1. The 16,000-square-foot ASC is also fully accredited by CMS.

2. A group of local physicians opened the center in 2007.

3. It has four operating rooms and three procedure rooms.

4. Surgeons at the center specialize in areas including gastroenterology, general surgery, ophthalmology, orthopedics and podiatry.

5. Mackinaw Surgery Center was one of 84 ASCs to receive the National APEX Quality Award in 2017.
