Ronald M. Wyatt, MD, is the medical director of the division of healthcare improvement at The Joint Commission where he focuses on promoting quality improvement and patient safety. He also works to influence public policy and patient safety legislation.
Dr. Wyatt previously served on the FDA's Drug Safety Oversight Board and a mentor to the Center for Medicare & Medicaid Innovation Advisors program for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. He has also been the director of patient safety analysis center for the Department of Defense Military Health System.
Dr. Wyatt is a board-certified internist and he earned his medical degree at the University of Alabama Birmingham. He also earned an executive master of science in health administration from the University of Alabama.
