Gateway Surgery Center gets accreditation: 5 key notes

The Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care granted Gateway Surgery Center accreditation. Here are five things to know about the center:

1. There are 21 physicians associated with the center who practice orthopedics, spine surgery and pain management.

2. The surgeries offered include lumbar discectomy, epidural steroid injection, ACL repair, endoscopic carpal tunnel release and rotator cuff surgeries.

3. Richard Brooks is the center’s administrator and Michael Vital is the business manager.

4. The surgery center is affiliated with AmSurg.

5. The surgery center includes seven operating rooms and a pain procedure room
