Florida recognizes AAAASF’s CMS Medicare ASC program as official licensing survey — 3 insights

Florida’s Agency for Health Care Administration accepted the American Association for Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgery Facilities’ licensing application July 1.

Here’s what you should know:

1. AAAASF standards are now available in Florida.

2. The state agency recognizes AAAASF’s CMS Medicare ASC program in lieu of Florida’s state licensing survey process.

3. An AAAASF-accredited facility will no longer have to undergo an annual state licensing survey as long as it retains accreditation.
