The Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care granted East Tremont Medical Center accreditation. Here are five things to know about the facility:

1. East Tremont Medical Center includes an ambulatory surgery center for outpatient procedures.

2. The surgery center occupies a 10,000-square-foot space inside the East Tremont Medical Center with three operating rooms and two minor surgery rooms.

3. The facility has on-site sterilization, consultation rooms and exam rooms.

4. Specialties at the surgery center include ENT, orthopedics, pain management, urology, ophthalmology and oncology.

5. The surgery center has a robotic arm and laser technology for surgeons to perform advanced minimally invasive procedures.
