In her new role, Dr. Thomas will advance the operations of the office through internal and external partnerships. She has over 20 years of experience in healthcare quality improvement and patient safety leadership and nursing. Before joining The Joint Commission, Dr. Thomas was director of patient safety and improvement at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago.
Dr. Thomas earned her doctor of nursing practice from Loyola University in Chicago and is a certified professional in patient safety and healthcare quality.
