Regent Surgical Health Partners With Chicago’s Swedish Covenant Hospital, 23 Physicians on New Surgery Center

Regent Surgical Health has announced it is partnering with Chicago’s Swedish Covenant Hospital and 23 physician-partners on a new ambulatory surgery center included in a $55 million expansion of the hospital’s medical campus.

Swedish Covenant Surgical Center is included in a new eight-story medical office building. It will provide specialties including general surgery, orthopedics, podiatry, pain management, ophthalmology and urology, according to a news release.

 

“Regent Surgical Health was a critical component of Swedish Covenant Hospital’s ability to partner with physicians and ensure our interests were aligned for a successful ambulatory surgery center,” said Mark Newton, president at Swedish Covenant Hospital, in the news release.

 

Swedish Covenant Surgical Center is scheduled to open in July 2012.

 

This ASC will be Regent’s 23rd surgery center, 11 of which are joint ventures with hospitals and physicians.
