Milwaukee-based AZH Centers achieved office-based surgery accreditation March 12.
Here are three things to know.
1. This makes AZH Centers the first wound, hyperbaric and vascular facility in the country to become certified by The Joint Commission, according to Awais Siddique, MD, an endovascular specialist at the clinic.
2. Jeffrey Niezgoda, MD, serves as president, CEO and corporate medical director of AZH Centers.
3. AZH, which stands for Advancing the Zenith of Healthcare, launched a Limb Preservation Center in Milwaukee in 2017. The facility specializes in wound care and vascular medicine for peripheral vascular disease and ulcerative critical limb ischemia.
