AORN Endorses National Time Out Day: June 15

The Association of periOperative Registered Nurses is running its annual promotion of Time Out Day, June 15, in order to spread awareness and support of taking the time to verify the correct person, procedure and site in a surgical setting, according to an AORN news release.

This year's Time Out Commitment Campaign is focusing on an entire surgical team commitment, as people can print out AORN's "We Commit" poster to display in any healthcare facility.

Healthcare operating personnel can also view videos of proper time out demonstrations and print out the World Health Organization's Surgical Safety Checklist.
