AAAHC Surveyor to know: Dr. Mark DeFrancesco

Mark DeFrancesco, MD, has been a surveyor for the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Healthcare since 1999.

Dr. DeFrancesco is a past president of both the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and the AAAHC.

He earned his degree from Mansfield-based University of Connecticut School of Medicine and later returned to earn an MBA from The University of New Haven (Conn.).
He co-founded one of the largest OB-GYN practices in the country, Danbury-based Women’s Health Connecticut/Physicians for Women’s Health.

Dr. DeFrancesco is a past Connecticut state representative.
