AAAHC Seeks Comments for Proposed 2009 Standards Revisions

The Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care is seeking public comment for proposed revisions to its standards for 2009.

Comments can be submitted between August 15 and September 15, 2008.

The proposed revisions include new chapters addressing behavior health services, lithotripsy services and Medical Home.

Existing chapters seeing notable proposed changes include quality of care (chapter four), quality management and improvement (chapter five), anesthesia services (chapter nine) and surgical and related services (chapter 10).
