AAAHC re-accredits Long Island Hand & Orthopedic Surgery Center: 5 key notes

Long Island Hand & Orthopedic Surgery Center in Huntington, N.Y., received re-accreditation from the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care.

1. Long Island Hand & Orthopedic Surgery Center includes three hand and upper extremity surgeons: Medical Director Jerry L. Ellstein, MD, Neal Hochwald, MD, and Kamal Dagly.

2. The center’s nurse administrator is Elaine Portannese, who, along with the surgeons, is pleased to “continue the high standards set by the AAAHC, and offer services to the Long Island community as an independent ASC.”

3. In addition to achieving re-accreditation, the surgery center is also Medicare certified.
