AAAHC Institute for Quality Improvement Honors 2 Surgery Centers

The Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care Institute for Quality Improvement has announced that two surgery centers have won the 2013 Bernard A. Kershner Innovations in Quality Improvement Award.

Methodist North Surgery Center in Memphis, Tenn., and Methodist Germantown (Tenn.) Surgery Center have won the award for a study titled “Safely Implanting Vendor Owned Surgical Implants.”

Cataract & Laser Center West in Springfield, Mass., received an honorable mention for the study “Reduce Pollution, Cost and Waste Through Recycling.”
