AAAHC accredits the University of California Merced’s H. Rajender Reddy Health Center: 4 thoughts

The Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care accredited the University of California Merced’s H. Rajedner Reddy Health Center, Counseling and Psychological Services and Health Promotion.

Here’s what you should know.

1. AAAHC completed a two-day site audit to award its accreditation.

2. Medical Director Brandon Boggs, MD, said the center was accredited because of its high level of care.

3. The center offers primary care, psychiatric and several other services for its students. During the 2015-16 school year it had more than 13,000 appointments.

4. The center has its own accreditation team which prepared for two years in its attempt to receive accreditation. The team will now work toward three-year reaccreditation.
