The Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care accredited Stony Point Surgery Center in Richmond, Va.
Here are four things to know:
1. Stony Point Surgery Center, affiliated with Medarva Healthcare, includes ophthalmology, gastroenterology, orthopedic surgery, gynecology and urology services.
2. The ASC posts prices online for select procedures to participate in cost transparency trends. The center also accepts major insurances.
3. On Oct. 30, Medarva Healthcare opened its second ASC in West Creek Medical Park. The ASC has two operating rooms and plans to open four procedure rooms by the end of the year.
4. In addition to providing medical care, Medarva Healthcare is focused on giving back to the community and participates in events such as the Special Olympics and Boxer Brief Battle 5K Run.
