AAAHC accredits 3 AmSurg GI/endoscopy center: 9 things to know

Three AmSurg GI/endoscopy centers underwent successful Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care surveys.

Boston Endoscopy Center in Wellesley, Mass., Gastrointestinal Endoscopy Associates of Rockville, Md., and Gastrointestinal Diagnostic Center of Baltimore underwent the surveys and were accredited.

Here are three things to know about Boston Endoscopy Center:

1. There are 25 physicians associated with the endoscopy center.

2. Physicians perform colonoscopy, flexible sigmoidoscopy and upper endoscopy at the center.

3. The privately-owned ASC has served the greater Boston area for more than 12 years and promotes a patient-centered atmosphere for wellness and comfort.

Here are three things to know about Gastrointestinal Endoscopy Associates:

4. The facility is a fully licensed ambulatory surgery center with five GI endoscopy procedure rooms.

5. There are 14 physicians associated with the center.

6. Procedures at the center include colonoscopy, flexible sigmoidoscopy, hemorrhoid branding and upper endoscopy.

Here are three things to know about Gastrointestinal Diagnostic Center:

7. The freestanding outpatient endoscopy facility has served the greater Baltimore area for more than 13 years.

8. There are seven physicians involved in the center.

9. Physicians at the center perform colonoscopy, flexible sigmoidoscopy, peripheral nerve evaluation and upper endoscopy.
