AAAHC-accredited center to know: Ambulatory Surgery Center of Western New York

Buffalo-based Ambulatory Surgery Center of Western New York was opened in 1999 by a group of ophthalmologists. It expanded in 2004 and 2006, adding podiatry, pain management and orthopedic specialties.

Physicians at the center treat over 15,000 patients and perform 27,000 procedures per year.

The ASC has six operating rooms and is accredited by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care.
