98.9% of CMS-certified ASCs comply with Quality Reporting Program

A record number of Medicare-certified ambulatory surgery centers have fully met the requirements of Medicare's ASC Quality Reporting Program and will receive a full payment update for 2015.

CMS announced the numbers yesterday.

In 2015, ASCs will have to report 10 quality measures to CMS' program, which is twice as many as when the program began in 2013.

"Given the ASC community's commitment to delivering high quality care, we are not surprised by the high level of participation in this national quality reporting program," said Ambulatory Surgery Center Association president Terry Bohlke in a release.
