1. The program is now available in more than 40 countries, featuring infographics, animated video, brochures and posters urging patients to learn more about their illnesses and speak up if they have questions or comments.
2. More than 67 percent of people who downloaded the animated videos said they use the Speak Up information in patient educational materials, and 62 percent said Speak Up empowers and educates patients to make them partners in their care.
3. Around 50 percent of the people who downloaded the animated videos use the information for staff education.
4. There aren’t copyright or reprinting permissions required for the Speak Up materials and they can be integrated into admissions packets, newsletters or other materials.
5. The videos and written material are available in English and Spanish and can be translated into other languages.
