Milwaukee-based Aurora St. Luke's Medical Center ended its partnership with Milwaukee-based Anesthesiology Associates of Wisconsin opting to partner with parent organization Aurora Health Care's own physician group, the Milwaukee Business Journal reports.
Here's what you should know:
1. MBJ reports Anesthesiology Associates had 38 physicians on staff a year ago.
2. Aurora spokesperson Tami Kou said the decision to switch to its own physician group "will better align our operations and support Aurora's strategies for clinical integration and population health."
3. Anesthesiology Associates Administrator Mike Mihlbauer said to MBJ he couldn't comment on Aurora's decision because of a non-disclosure agreement.
