Want to hone your intubation training? There’s an app for that

Chicago-based Level EX created and released Airway EX, a free application designed for anesthesiologists to train for a variety of airway procedures without hardware, Anesthesiology News reports.

Here’s what you should know.

1. Airway EX is a virtual patient airway simulator. The app simulates different cases of varying degrees of difficulty. The app has 20 cases currently available.

2. Select cases provide continuing medical education credits if a user scores highly. Sam Glassenberg, Level EX’s founder, said it’s the only app in the world that allows users to earn CME credits.

3. Airway EX is available for both iPhones and Android phones.

4. Level EX launched the product in October 2016, Anesthesiology News reports.
