Here are the four codes being replaced in 2017.
- 62310 for cervical and thoracic single shot injection.
- 62311 for lumbar single shot injection
- 62318 for cervical or thoracic epidural catheter
- 62310 for lumbar epidural catheter
The replacement codes vary whether or not there is imaging guidance.
The new codes with imaging guidance are:
- 62321 for cervical and thoracic single shot injection
- 62323 for lumbar single shot injection
- 62325 for cervical or thoracic epidural catheter
- 62327 for lumbar epidural catheter
The new codes without imaging guidance are
- 62320 for cervical and thoracic single shot injection
- 62322 for lumbar single shot injection
- 62324 for cervical or thoracic epidural catheter
- 62326 for lumbar epidural catheter
The national average for the Anesthesia and Resource Based Relative Value System Conversion Factors also increased for 2017.
Anesthesia will receive $22.04 and RBRVS will receive $35.87.
