Southeast Alabama Medical Center implements Plexus IS’ anesthesia system — 4 things to know

Southeast Alabama Medical Center in Dothan has implemented the Plexus Information Systems’ anesthesia information and medication management system.

Here are four things to know:

1. Plexus IS’ AIMS software, Anesthesia Touch, incorporates the iOS iPad technology in collaboration with the Windows Touchscreen platform.

2. The medical center also implemented a modular add-on to Anesthesia Touch, Pharmacy Touch, which streamlines the tracking of controlled substances.

3. SAMC implemented the system in 35 locations.

4. SAMC is a 420-bed regional referral center that serves approximately 600,000 people.
