Somnia Anesthesia names Dr. Rita Parikh its Anesthesiologist of the Year — 3 insights

Anesthesia practice management company Somnia Anesthesia named Rita Parikh, MD, of Harrison, N.Y.-based Scarsdale Medical Group, its fifth Anesthesiologist of the Year.

Here’s what you should know.

1. Dr. Parikh has been with Somnia Anesthesia for more than 15 years. She is the first female Somnia has given its Anesthesiologist of the Year award.

2. She began her career after earning her medical degree from Albany-based State University of New York. She completed a residency at New York City-based New York Presbyterian Hospital.

3. Dr. Parikh said in a release, “It is an honor to receive this award. The Somnia organization has always [been] very welcoming and supportive. I feel very fortunate to work in such a great community of caring diligent and dedicated professionals and staff.”
