PhyMed CEO Marty Bonick joins Center for Medical Interoperability board — 4 insights

Nashville, Tenn.-based PhyMed Healthcare Group CEO Marty Bonick is the Center for Medical Interoperability's newest board member.

Here's what you should know:

1. CMI President and CEO Ed Cantwell lauded Mr. Bonick, saying he was well-versed in CMI's mission for plug-and-play interoperability in healthcare.

2. Mr. Bonick has more than 20 years of healthcare experience.

3. Before he joined PhyMed, Mr. Bonick was Munster, Ind.-based Community Health System's president of division operations, where he oversaw a $4.5 billion healthcare facility portfolio.

About the opportunity, Mr. Bonick said, "Hospitals, physicians and payers don't always work together, but to truly change the trajectory of healthcare, we must find ways to effectively collaborate while keeping the patient at the center of our attention.
