Anesthesiologist Named Southern Medical Association President

Orangeburg, Ky., anesthesiologist Gary Delaney, MD, has been named president of the Southern Medical Association for 2013, according to The Times and Democrat.

The SMA is a multispecialty medical association to educate physicians. Dr. Delaney has been a member since 1982, and has served various leadership roles, including chairman of the coordinating committee on leadership.

Dr. Delany received his medical degree from the University of Kentucky Medical School and completed a residency in anesthesiology at the University Hospital in Lexington. He practices at Regional Medical Center.
