Brad Alan Starkey, MD, was accused of injecting painkillers and stealing controlled drugs from his Oklahoma City hospital employer. Investigators estimated Dr. Starkey had been using for nine months before he was caught, according to the report.
He was fined $10,000 and must complete 100 hours of community service. In addition, Dr. Starkey is on five year’s probation and has been ordered to continue treatment and monitoring for drug addiction.
