Ohio's Lourdes University to Offer Only Nurse Anesthesia Program in Northwest Ohio

Lourdes College in Sylvania, Ohio, will offer a nurse anesthesia graduate program when it transitions to Lourdes University this fall, according to a Toledo Blade report.

Director of graduate admissions Keith Ramsdell said he expects the new programs to change the dynamic of the institution. He expects a national pool of applicants for the university's new nurse anesthesia and MBA programs.

Nurse anesthesia program administrator Jill Liebnau said the program is the only one of its kind in northwest Ohio, and one of seven in the state. According to the report, only 113 such programs exist in the country. Next year's class at Lourdes is already filled.
