A North Carolina nurse anesthetist has been accused of assaulting at least one patient during surgical procedures, according to a March 19 report from local news outlet WAVY.
A lawsuit is in the works against the nurse anesthetist, Paul Pellini, who was arrested on Feb. 27 and charged with forcible rape.
The victim claims she was sexually assaulted by Mr. Pellini while under anesthesia earlier in February.
“From what we’ve learned through law enforcement, there are multiple individuals who have come forward, or at least that they’re investigating these crimes having been committed against [them],” the alleged victim’s attorney, Kevin Biniazan, told WAVY.
